The thoughts of a newly married, recently graduated, christ-seeking, pastor-to-be

Getting back on track

I suck at quiet times. I get them started, then I fall off. Normally I would make excuses about how busy I am, or how I can never find something to study or be worth my while. Etc. etc. etc... It is very lame. So I have started again. And I need your help.

I am employing mass accountability. I need you to ask me what is going on with them. I can tell you what I am doing in general.

I am reading "The Power of a Praying Husband". I am journaling. I am praying. And I am relearning ancient Hebrew.

And I am doing it every morning at 6:15am.

So please, help a brother out. Ask me about it so I can give you an answer.

James the two problems I have with that text is that the ש is not pointed with its dagesh on one end or the other, and I cannot quite make out the first consonant ט it could be a tet but I am not sure. Is it supposed to be teshit or tesit? transliteration of this would be wonderful for me. Even if you just wanted to give me the consonant transliteration so I could figure out the vowel pointings I would be thrilled.
it's an ayin, the verb is 'asah = to do or to make, it is unpointed and it is the qal perfect second masculine singular. "You did" [it]. Unfortunately, Hebrew unicode on Safari looks rediculously terrible. I need to find a better way to type Hebrew in Safari.
ahhh excellent. Yes I do indeed blame the safari text input. Like I said it is just lain hard to read thus hard for me to translate, but thanks for the translation. I appreciate it. Once I feel like i can really sit down with some hebrew text again I will start doing translations.

Baby steps to the elevator though you know ;-)
so, how's it going?
So Far so good Alex,

I brought my flash cards and bible with me to Tahoe. Read thru Ephesians 1-6 throughout the trip. Things are feeling great!
Tank,
I can totally empathize. I haven't tried mass accountability though. How goes it. And how goes the Hebrew. I still have textbooks on my bookshelf from when I dropped out of Spawn's Hebrew Readings 1 class. 6:15 reminds me of early mornings studying at Starbucks. Glad to here you are married and pursuing God. Your Friend, and Brother in Christ,
Nathaniel C. Eells
