Theology Evolved?

I was wondering if I would be employed...

I was beginning the planning stages of asking Karina to marry me...

I was actually kinda depressed because I was unemployed on my birthday...


....


Today...

I work for the place that hired me on my birthday...

I am married to the most amazing woman ever.

And I am kinda depressed but not really because I am going to be at work on my birthday.

....

What will next year hold? I don't know I am just gonna live it up.

So I have been back as made apparent by my twitter updates on the right.

I had a moment of great nerdiness that I feel the need to share across the blogosphere.

On the way back from Sacramento to Redding (2.5 hour drive more or less) I was dead tired from 19 hours being spent in a variety of airports and planes, and you throw in it was 2am when we set out for Redding. So I was pretty loopy. Luckily I had planned ahead and put a rockstar in the car before we left. So between sipping on that and belting out "You Give Love a Bad Name" in Blake Lewis fashion I was doing okay, till half way. Then my mind started shutting down.

So I went back to my childhood roadtripping days when my dad would challenge my sister and I to do math problems so we could win a treat at the next stop. So what did I do? I started calculating how many seconds it would take to cover a mile at a variety of speeds. from 30mph (120 seconds) to 75mph (48 seconds). Down to calculating the exact time we would pull into our apartment (4:31am). It was kinda sick, but it kept me awake.

Unfortuantely after falling asleep at 5am, the rockstar had me going at 7:30 am. But now with that being said I felt really smart because I used that early morning time to organize our spare bedroom before it became a giant storage area for the other rooms. success was mine.

Anyways, yah we are back, we are married, and we are happy.

Gonna get married in 10 days and 18 hours give or take. WOOHOOOOOOOOOO!

That is right, getting married so very very very soon and I could be any more excited.

I remember saying I was gonna post details as I got them but I totally forgot. So here is the final break down.

Where are we registered at? Target and Bed, Bath, and Beyond (B-Cubed, much more successful than Ice-Cube) So if any of you really cool blog readers out there wanna help a newlywed couple out you know the drill :)

Whose got my back?

Officiant: Rich Kirkpatrick, first a friend, second a mentor, third a pastor. He fits everything I could ask for in someone who will be officiating the wedding. He helped make me into the man that Karina fell in love with.

Best Man: Ben Hackett, this guy has been my best friend since we were in the 3rd Grade and I followed him to his house probably boring him to death with my non-sensical babbling. I would take a bullet for him, and am very glad to have him as my right hand man.

Groomsman 1: Mike Eller, this crazy bike riding hombre is gonna be my brother-in-law-in-law, Karina's Sister's Husband. He has been there to help me out a lot during the courtship and even with the engagement process and has been is some ways an acting Best Man since he lives down here and Ben lives in Portland.

Groomsman 2: Zach Colbert, worked with him in youth ministry, nerd bowled alongside him, we were roommates, I got a hunter addicted to World of Warcraft (He started a hunter, go figure) This guy always helps bring out the crazier side of me.

Groomsman 3: Jonathan Bohlander, my soon to be cousin-in-law has put up with my crazy yeti messages and has let me marry his cousin. He is an awesome young man who is very talented in music and him and I just seem to get along like 2 peas in a very strangely shaped pod.

Groomsman 4: Matt "SuperMatt" Anderson, stepped up to the plate when another Groomsman found out at the last minute he was not going to be able to make it down. Matt was my roommate in college and also for a little while before his marriage. I spent a chunk of one summer with his then girlfriend now wife Amy and I really love this guy.

Groomsman 5: Brock "Broccoli" Callaway, my soon to be brother-in-law, Karina's oldest younger brother. He is a fun, but disciplined student and athlete and I look forward to some crazy times with him.

Groomsman 6: Jake "Jakely" Callaway, another soon to be brother-in-law and Karinahttp://www.blogger.com/img/gl.link.gif's middle younger brother. He is an artist at heart and very passionate about everything he does. I love encouraging his musical side.

Ring Bearer: Isaac "Baby iZach" Callaway, the third soon to be brother-in-law. At the ripe old age of terrible two's he is a riot to watch. Once the music starts so does the dance party for him. Look for him to be the cneter of attention at the reception.


So that is the basics, I will try and edit and make the blog cooler with pictures of the groomsmen later.

Yup! It's True. Yesterday August 27, 2007 Karina Lynn Callaway said she would marry myself, Zachary Paul Tanksley. We have not set a date yet or know anything for sure regarding the wedding, but details will come I promise.

The breakdown of how it happened is After I had been gone in Oregon for a few days picking up the ring, which she did not know, I came back. We went directly from me being back to going to her brother Jake's 12th Birthday Party. At that point I let her mom in on what was going on so I could make a sudden and awkward departure with Karina to the Sun Dial Bridge. When we were there I took her to our bench and gave her a red rose and then read to her portions of my journal detailing the conversations with her parents when I was gaining their permission and blessing. Following that I dropped down to one knee and popped the question, and much like the title to this blog... She Said Yes! A gentleman who watched this unfold snapped this picture using my camera, and then we took off to go show her family.
